Organ Donors - Oldskool Autopsy - New Album On Sale 18th August 2008
Official Press Release
After a string of ground-breaking dance floor fillers from their first album Plastic Surgeons, including 4 Tribes and Blackout (the first two vinyl only releases in ten years to make the National top 40) and the massive European anthems What’s up? and. 99.9! The long awaited follow up, Oldskool Autopsy is here!
The boys have turned down countless remix projects over the last 2 years and have spent the months locked away in their secret underground theatre in the heart of Bournemouth, whilst continuing to be one of the busiest acts on the world DJ circuit, working on what is set to be the most exciting and innovative hard dance artist album of all time!
Taking us back to where it all started and injecting a lethal dose of modern technology, raw passion and 15 years of production experience, Oldskool Autopsy takes a carefully selected crop of some of their most influential tunes from the past 20 years, from artists such as KLF, Joey Beltram, Massive Attack & Moby, and a host of groundbreaking tracks, rave anthems and acid house classics from as far back as the late 80's and gives them a well-deserved surgical makeover.
"Music runs in cycles and at the time we decided to embark on this project the scene was at a point where it was looking back in time for inspiration. Oldskool continues to be one of the most sampled genres in dance music and for something that is so close to our hearts we decided to give those tracks that have inspired us over the years a new lease of life. We’ve attempted to capture the essence of Oldskool but bring it up to date with the array of present day genres that the Oldskool era has spawned. This album is a testament to the tunes that inspired us and a generation of clubbers and we feel privileged and honored to be allowed to work with such classic material”
The boys have chosen to sign the project to the worlds biggest and most respected hard dance music corporation Tidy Trax after the massive success of Turntablism (tune of the year @ the 2006 hard dance awards) and preceding the release of the album is a massive 3 month tour that will see the boys travel the 4 corners of the globe. If you witnessed the dawn of rave culture, have experienced the evolution of hard dance, or are just curious about the modern dance music revolution then either way this album is for you.
“This album is dedicated to those who remember the days and for all those who still have those days to remember.
BRING BACK THE OLDSKOOL!!”
