On Saturday 16th February 2008, a huge chapter in UK clubbing history came to a close as GoodGreef hosted its final ever party at the iconic Tall Trees in Yarm.
After five unforgettable years of legendary nights, towering lineups, and a legacy that helped shape the North’s dance scene, Tall Trees – the UK’s largest club venue – closed its doors, with GoodGreef delivering one final blowout in true GG style.
Over the years, this venue saw the rise of countless dance music heavyweights. From Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Lisa Lashes, and Eddie Halliwell, to rising stars like Adam Sheridan, Alex Kidd, Kutski, Shan, and more — Tall Trees became a launchpad and a landmark.
To mark the end, GoodGreef joined forces with Fire It Up for one final send-off. Leading the charge was Eddie Halliwell, with support from a stacked Club M lineup: Marcel Woods, Richard Durand, Preach, Barry Connell, and James Alexander aka Kid. Over in the House Party room, Mark Maitland, Curious Hi Fi, and Toddy b2b Mick Lindsey brought the heat with tech and electro flavours.
This night wasn’t just a party — it was a celebration of memories, milestones, and music that defined a generation. A final reunion of old friends, new faces, and loyal ravers saying goodbye to one of the UK’s most iconic club spaces.
