Trance in the Woods made its debut on Saturday 3 June at Lime Lane Woods in Derbyshire, and from the first beat, it was clear this was more than just another event.

Three stages rose from the woodland, each with its own identity. From uplifting anthems and progressive journeys to tech-edged energy and harder sounds, over 35 acts delivered a full spectrum of trance. The Classics Stage became a highlight, with fans and artists alike talking about the magic of hearing timeless tracks surrounded by trees and open sky.

The atmosphere was electric but intimate. Crowds travelled from across the UK, but it was the mix of loyal Goodgreef followers and first-time visitors that gave the debut its energy.

By the end of the night — and the official afterparty — the message was clear. Trance in the Woods wasn’t a one-off experiment. It was the start of something that could grow, evolve, and stand alongside the best festivals in the UK calendar.
